Inaugural Fundraiser is a Success

POST EVENT PRESS RELEASE

The Rancho Santa Fe Fire District Foundation had a very successful Inaugural Fundraising Event last Saturday May 18th, held at the Cielo Village Square in Rancho Santa Fe, California for the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District (which services over 50 square miles and has six Fire Stations).

Key note speakers were Chief Fred Cox, of the Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District, Chief Frank Twohy of Elfin Forest Fire Station #6, Jim Depolo, President of our Foundation; and Nona Barker a Board Member who spoke on behalf of The Cory Iverson Fire Academy Scholarship Fund.

The food prepared by Sage Bleu Catering was magnificent; and live music performed by Joseph Angelastro and friends defined the evening with their repertoire of classic jazz purring in the background.

The purpose of our Foundation is solely to support our brave firefighters and fire stations with additional resources they need.

The RSF Fire District Foundation has already granted monies for a drone to better assess fire situations and get personnel in and out of areas with a greater degree of safety; a detox sauna for fire fighters after they have been exposed to toxic smoke inhalation; and a new septic system for Station 6.

This Fundraiser brought more awareness to our Foundation and we are just getting started.  It is practically fire season all year long, and it has become almost urgent to make sure our Fire Fighters have all the resources they need to protect us and our property.

Please consider donating as you will definitely be a part of making a difference!  www.rsffirefoundation.org
